LINES AND FARR SCORE AUSSIE WINS FOR J&J

McKENZIE, TN (January 21) - With the Australian sprint car racing season reaching its height of the season, J&J Auto Racing drivers continued a tremendous run Down Under. Robbie Farr won Sunday's Outlaws Down Under V finale at Tyrepower Parramatta City Raceway while Steven Lines captured the feature event at Speedway City on Saturday night.

The victories were a continuation of strong runs by J&J racers on International soil as Ricky Logan took his fourth win in New Zealand and Donny Schatz took home five wins on his Australia Assault tour.

OUTLAWS DOWN UNDER

It was a historic night for Robbie Farr and his car owner Barry Waldron. Farr led all 30 laps of the Outlaws Down Under finale that was sponsored by East Coast Pipeline, the company owned by Waldron. Farr, who drove the No. 7q J&J, was the class of the field that included some of the best sprint car drivers from America.

“To Barry Waldron, crew chief Nick Speed and the team, they gave me the tools to get the job done tonight," said Farr, following the win. "I am absolutely stoked. The competition here is the best in the world."

Donny Schatz finished second in Friday's opening night Outlaws Down Under program and fifth in Sunday's finale driving the Gary Rush Racing No. 15 J&J.

SPEEDWAY CITY SPRINT CAR CHAMPIONSHIP

Steven Lines scored a major win on Saturday night by claiming the South Australian Sprintcar championship with his triumph at Speedway City. Lines, a native of Mt. Gambier, drove the David Challons owned No. 45 Camden Signs sponsored J&J from the outside of the front row and led every lap to capture the win.

NEW ZEALAND

American sprint car ace Ricky Logan continued running strong at Western Springs Speedway aboard his No. 10 Lucas Oil J&J. He picked up his fifth win since landing in New Zealand this past weekend by taking command of the feature event on lap four. Once in front, Logan raced away and extended his points lead in the SNSC Championship Series which consists of five more races ending with the last race March 15.

WORLD SERIES SPRINTCARS

Donny Schatz closed the World Series Sprintcars campaign with a win on January 12 at Brisbane International Speedway. Schatz raced the No. 15 J&J owned by Gary Rush to the win. The win was his fourth win Down Under this season.

Fellow J&J racer, Robbie Farr, who in early January earned the Wanless World Series Sprintcars Speedweek championship, raced Barry Waldron's No. 7q J&J to a tenth place finish, which helped him secure second overall in the WSS finale standings.
