RAHMER, SUMMERS AND SEWELL TAKE J&J'S TO VICTORY LANE
McKENZIE, TN (April 2) - Fred Rahmer, Evan Sewell and Kurt Summers were all victorious in sprint car action last weekend piloting J&J Auto Racing Sprint cars. Rahmer's win came at Lincoln Speedway in Pennsylvania while Sewell picked up the season opener at Creek County Speedway in Oklahoma and Summers triumphed at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Texas.
LINCOLN SPEEDWAY
Fred Rahmer continued his early season success by picking up another win at Lincoln Speedway last Saturday night. Rahmer raced the No. 51 J&J owned by Chad and Jen Clemens from the ninth starting position and into the lead on lap 11. Once it front, Rahmer was not to be denied in the 25-lap race and he went on to score his second Lincoln triumph of 2008 and 156th of his career at the facility.
Doug Esh finished third in the No. 30 J&J and Lance Dewease charged from 16th to finish fifth in the Catoctin Motorsports No. 30c J&J.
CREEK COUNTY SPEEDWAY
Evan Sewell got a headstart on the OCRS 2008 season by taking his first win of the season last Saturday night at Creek County Speedway in Kellyville, Okla. Sewell drove Rob Forehand's No. 15 J&J and fought off Mike Goodman to win the 20-lap race.
DEVIL'S BOWL SPEEDWAY
Kurt Summers raced his No. 99 J&J to victory at historic Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, TX. Summers took full advantage of his front row starting position and led every lap to capture the win.
Other strong J&J finishes:
Tim Shaffer raced the Wainwright/Sixgun Motorsports No. 61J&J owned by to a second place finish at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night. Fred Rahmer raced the No. 51 J&J to a fifth place finish and was joined in the top ten by Lance Dewease, who finished eighth driving the Catoctin Motorsports No. 30c J&J.
Blane Heimbach finished third at Selinsgrove Speedway driving the Creasy No. 12 J&J.
LAST WEEK'S WINNERS
Shane Morgan and Lane Whittington put on a thrilling show Saturday, March 22nd in the CAJUN Sprinters Association season opener at Southern Mississippi Speedway in Gulfport, MS. Whittington raced his No. 9 J&J into the lead as the green flag dropped with Morgan in second. The duo kept the fans focused on the front during the entire race up until final lap when Morgan put his No. 01 J&J in front crossing the finish line first to claim the opening night feature.
John Craddock finished third in the No. 31 J&J, Justin McKenzie came home 10th in the No. 15 J&J and defending CAJUN champion, Lincoln Gatwood, came home 12th driving his No. 38 J&J.
