J&J'S PICK UP THE PACE WITH WINS ACROSS THE MAP

McKENZIE, TN (April 16) - Several J&J Auto Racing teams flexed their muscle last weekend by winning sprint car races in the United States and Australia. Fred Rahmer continued his early season surge by winning in Pennsylvania, Nick Smith won his first feature of the season in Oklahoma, Lane Whittington was victorious in Louisiana and Luch Monte won in Western Australia.

LINCOLN SPEEDWAY

Fred Rahmer scored his third victory of the season at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night. Rahmer raced the Chad and Jen Clemens owned No. 51 J&J from the 12th starting position and took the lead heading down the backstretch on lap 13.

Rahmer was followed to the front by fellow J&J racer, Doug Esh, who started the Leach/Pancho's Racing Products No. 30 J&J 11th. Esh ended up finished third, while Cory Haas came home fourth in the No. 11c J&J after leading the first nine laps. Bob Howard gave J&J four top-10 finishers by racing his No. 49 J&J to a tenth place finish.

ASCS SOONER

Nick Smith picked up his first triumph of 2008 Friday night at State Fair Speedway in Oklahoma City, Okla. Smith drove his dad's Sooner Network Solutions/Smith Truck sponsored No. 15s J&J to victory in the 25-lap American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region A-main. Smith took advantage of starting on the pole position and fended off several challengers to score his ninth career ASCS feature win.

Natalie Sather raced the Sather Motorsports No. 94 J&J to victory in the B-main and finished 16th in the A-main.

PERTH MOTORPLEX

Luch Monte was strong all night in his No. 17 J&J at Perth Motorplex in Kwinana Beach, Western Australia last Saturday night. After earning the fast qualifier award, he finished third in the fourth heat race to earn a front row starting spot for the feature. Monte took advantage of the starting position and went on to pick up the win.

CAJUN'S SPRINTERS ASSOCIATION

Lane Whittington picked up Saturday night's Cajun Sprinters Association feature event at A-1 Speedway in Lacombe, Louisiana. Whittington started his No. 9 J&J on the pole alongside fellow J&J racer, Shane Morgan, who won the season opener in his No. 01 J&J. Whittington went on to claim the victory and was followed by Morgan, Justin McKenzie, who finished sixth in the No. 15 J&J.

Other Strong J&J finishes:

Lance Dewease finished second on Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway behind the wheel of the Catoctin Motorsports No. 30c J&J. Blane Heimbach finished fifth on Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway in the Creasy No. 12 J&J. Steve Poirier finished sixth and Alain Bergeron finished ninth in Saturday night's 25th Anniversary Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprint 25-lap A-Main season opener at the Black Rock Speedway.
