SHAFFER, HARRISION DOUBLE UP DRIVING J&J AUTO RACING SPRINT CARS
McKENZIE, TN (August 5) - Tim Shaffer and David Harrison led the J&J Auto Racing brigade last week by each scoring a pair of victories. Alain Bergeron, Blane Heimbach and Arnie Kent also found victory lane in Sprint car action this past weekend behind the wheel of J&J Auto Racing sprint cars.
ALL-STARS - THUNDER THROUGH THE PLAINS
Tim Shaffer kicked off the 2008 edition of the Thunder Through the Plains for the OReilly All Star Circuit of Champions by dominating the feature event at the famed Belleville High Banks. Shaffer drove the Call Motorsports No. 83 J&J with Kistler power from the pole position and led all 30 laps to pick up the victory.
RIVER CITIES SPEEDWAY
Mark Dobmeier continued his winning ways at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D. on Friday night. Dobmeier raced Dave Lunstra's No. 13 J&J from the ninth starting position into the lead with 17 laps to go. The victory was Dobmeiers 15th of the season.
LERNERVILLE SPEEDWAY
Ed Lynch, Jr. picked up his third consecutive win on Friday night at Lernerville Speedway. He started in the six row behind the wheel of his No. 2L J&J and on lap 15, he took command of the race. The Apollo Rocket led the final five laps to score his 94th career triumph at the track.
ATTICA RACEWAY PARK
David Harrison made it two straight wins at Attica Raceway Park on Friday night. Harrison stalked early leader Chris Andrews and then took the lead on lap seven in Dee Genzman's No. 10 Crown Battery/MCS Trucking/Blaster Racing sponsored J&J. Once in front, Harrison maneuvered through traffic until a late caution gave him an open track for the final three circuits.
EMPIRE SUPER SPRINT SERIES
Alain Bergeron picked up his second win of the season on Friday night, dominating the Foundations 4 Seasons feature event to collect his second Lucas Oil 25th Anniversary Empire Super Sprint series triumph of the season.
SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY
Blane Heimbach started tenth and picked up his fourth win of the season Saturday night at Selinsgrove Speedway. Heimbach piloted the Creasy Signs/Goff Racing No. 12 J&J into the lead on lap seven and pulled away to score the win. The victory was Heimbachs 25th at the track, which ties him with Chad Layton for career most in the 358 division.
FREMONT SPEEDWAY
David Harrison concluded a strong weekend by scoring his third win of the season at Fremont Speedway. Harrison raced Dee Genzman's No. 10 Crown Battery/MCS Trucking/Blaster Racing sponsored J&J past leader Mike Dussel coming for the white flag to pick up the win.
MERCER RACEWAY PARK
Arnie Kent won Saturday night's 20-lap Luxaire Heating & Cooling Sprint Car feature at Mercer Raceway Park. Kent jumped from his fourth starting position into the lead on the first lap and pulled away in the feature event. The victory was Kents 19th in a 410 Sprint Car at Mercer, 20th overall at Mercer, and 25th of his career driving his No. 18 Equipment Rental Options/Huston Group/Image Factory Signs & Graphics sponsored J&J.
ALL-STARS - HUSET'S SPEEDWAY
Tim Shaffer was in the right place at the right time on Sunday night scoring his fifth victory since jumping into the Call Motorsports No. 83 J&J with Kistler power. Shaffer took advantage of Dale Blaney's motor woes late in the race to score the victory.
Jeremy Campbell led the first 12 laps in Rick Ferkel's No. 0 J&J before finishing sixth. Mark Dobmeier came home fifth at the finish in Dave Lunstra's No. 13 J&J.
ASCS PATRIOT SPRINTS -
George Suprick was victorious in theASCS Patriot triumph on Sunday, July 27th at Cayuga County Fair Speedway in Weedsport, New York. Suprick led all 25 laps in his No. 87 J&J on his way to his 12th career ASCS Patriot win.
