RAHMER CLOSES SEASON WITH A TRIUMPH FOR J&J
McKENZIE, TN (Nov. 10) - A pair of J&J veterans scored season-ending victories during the past two weekends of Sprint car action. On Sunday, Fred Rahmer led all 50 laps of the Sprint car portion of the Octoberfest 350 at Hagerstown Speedway. The week before Donny Schatz closed the 2008 World of Outlaws campaign with a dominating flag-to-flag win in the Vault World Finals.
HAGERSTOWN SPEEDWAY
Fred Rahmer closed the 2008 campaign by leading all 50 laps at Hagerstown Speedway on Sunday afternoon in the Chad and Jen Clemens No. 51 Miller Chevrolet sponsored J&J. Rahmer took the lead on the opening lap and survived one close call in lapped traffic on lap 20. During the final 20 laps of the race, he was in complete command en route to his 18th win of 2008 and 398th career Sprint car victory.
Rahmer picked up $10,000 for the victory and was joined in the top-10 by fellow J&J racer, Ed Lynch, Jr. (No. 2L J&J), who came home 10th. Bob Howard (No. 49 J&J) finished 14th and Scott Flammer (No. 37 J&J) finished 15th.
WORLD OF OUTLAWS - WORLD FINALS
Donny Schatz capped off his third consecutive World of Outlaws championship with a victory in the season finale at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway on Nov. 1. Schatz raced the Tony Stewart Racing No. 15 Armor All/Chevy/ParkerStore sponsored J&J to victories in his heat race, the Crane Cams Dash, and all 30 laps of the "A" Feature event. The win was his 18th WoO triumph of 2008 and 22nd overall on US soil this season, capping a season that began with Schatz winning in his first night out in the TSR machine in Florida on February 6.
Schatz clinched the championship the night before his season-ending victory when he finished second in the World Finals opener on Oct. 31. With his victory the next night, he concluded the season with a 132-point margin in the final WoO standings.

AUSTRALIA
Steven Lines scored an early-season podium finish on Saturday night by coming home second at Heartland Raceway (Moama, NSW) during the second round of the Victorian based Eureka Garages and Sheds Super Sprint Series. Lines, who finished third and first in heat race action, started on the front row and had a thrilling battle with eventual winner Brett Milburn in the feature event. Lines came home second behind the wheel of the No. 45SA Camden Neon Signs sponsored J&J.
