Leversedge Wins War of the Wings Round Four

New Zealander, Matthew Leversedge, was victorious during the fourth round of War of the Wings Sprint Cars last Saturday night at Nelson Speedway. With not having very many laps around Nelson Speedway, Matthew, and his No.3NZ Toyco, WD-40 team had the car to beat this round. Finishing fourth in heat one and second in heat two, set the No. 3NZ team up nicely for the dash win.  With impending weather, race officials made the call to shorten the feature event to 20 laps from its original 30. Matthew held down the second position for most of the feature, but with few laps remaining, Matthew was able to capture the lead after unfortunate luck for the leader. Matthew held onto the lead and was able to bring home the checkered flag for his first win of the season. Matthew is currently 7th in the War of the Wings points standings. The next round of War of the Wings Sprint Car will be held Saturday, March 25th at Riverside Speedway.
